Over the past several years, I have spoken with many musicians who, despite possessing incredible talent and aptitude, have yet to break through into a position that more closely aligns with their ambitions. A crowded market and well-used phrases about the “nature of academia” often rob applicants of the creativity needed to stand out. On my professional journey, I worked my way up the chain from adjunct instructor to associate professor, and I made a promise to myself that if I ever made it to where I stand today, I would use my perspective to help others demystify the process and gain the entry they so desperately hope to achieve.

I appreciate that stepping into work with a consultant is a true investment of resources, and there are no guarantees. Would working with me guarantee you a job? Of course not!
